Is Google Fit The Future Of Fitness Apps?

Remember how we talked about how our phones play a giant role in our life? Well, it's fair to say for a percentage of us anyway... fitness plays a role in our lives, major or minuscule. And thanks to Google, we now have a way to incorporate our fit life into the rest of it in an even easier way.

It goes by the name Google Fit. How it works is it uses your smartphone camera to track your heart and respiration rate. Its updated version was released Thursday 2/5/2021. In its previous version, it already tracked how far you walked and how many calories you burned. If you have a Pixel phone some new features include pulse and breathing trackers for further data.

This update changes the game for people in and out of fitness. The same sensors that give us those stunning photos also can measure our heart and respiration rate. You will be able to measure heart rate by placing your fingertip on your camera lens. With that being said, hopefully this can move forward and get people on their health kick!
